Robert F. Dudek's Obituary
Robert Frank Dudek, 81, of Alliance, died on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:49 p.m. in the Emergency Room at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on September 17, 1929 in Rossford, OH, he had lived in Alliance most of his life. He was a very faithful and loyal member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A veteran during the Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U. S. Army. Bob was a graduate of Toledo University, receiving a Bachelor s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He had been employed for many years as a Chemical Engineer at Babcock & Wilcox, which was later acquired by McDermott. He is survived by his wife, Ilean (Rice) Dudek, of 30 years this past July 12th; a daughter, Anne Bartels and her spouse Mike of Boulder CO, Jill Moriuchi and her spouse LeRoy of Cary NC; son, Phil Dudek and his spouse Mary of Alliance; two step daughters, Jeannette Hamlett and her spouse Herbert of Appomattox, VA, Mary Ann Price and her spouse Warren of Alliance; two step-sons, Kenneth Crews and his spouse Alice of Nathalie, VA and Robert Peshek and his spouse Tracy of Alliance; Stephanie Naugle, who enjoyed taking care of her grandfather over these past few years; grandchildren, Peter, Andrew, Sarah, Bethany, Sam, Leah, Sierra, Kaitlyn, Curt, Chris, Kristen, Erin, Michael, and Samantha; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Danny Dudek of Rossford, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Doris (Nowaozewski) Dudek; and three sisters, Jean, Eileen and Lottie. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Matthew M. Mankowski, as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
