Robert "Bud" Congrove's Obituary
Robert L. "Bud" Congrove, 84, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 12:43 am at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
Born on June 30, 1941 in Alliance, to Leroy and Dorothy (Brown) Congrove, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
A graduate of Alliance High School, he served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Robert was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed woodworking and hunting.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Wervey of Alliance; nephew, Aaron Wervey of Alliance, two great-nephews, Austin (Kayley) Wervey of Sebring and Devin McMasters of Alliance; two great-nieces, Brice Wervey and Kaitlyn Wervey, both of Alliance; six great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Georgia Fluharty; and his longtime companion, Roy Butz.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin 3:00 pm with Rev. Randy Payne, of Alliance Baptist Temple, officiating. There will be a private family burial, with military honors, to follow at a later time at Mt. Union Cemetery.
