Robert Bucklew's Obituary
Robert O. Bucklew, 93, of Mentor, Ohio, and formerly of Alliance, passed away on November 6, 2025 at Symphony at Mentor.
Born in Fairmont, West Virginia on July 23, 1932, Robert lived most of his life in Alliance.
He graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1948 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
In 1955, he married his beloved wife, Margaret. Robert worked for many years with the United States Postal Service.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: traveling, spending time outdoors hunting and golfing, and searching for treasures while antiquing with Margaret.
He is survived by his children, Juanita Jean Bishara of Richmond Heights and Robert Bucklew Jr. of Cleveland; stepchildren, Sue Hamm, Gary Butcher, and Denny Butcher; his brother, Cameron “Junior” Bucklew; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Summers) Bucklew, his parents, Cameron and Juanita (Haught) Bucklew; his brothers, Denzil and Cecil Bucklew; and his sister, Christine McRobie.
A private funeral service will be held. Burial with military honors, will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
