Robert D. Brick's Obituary
Robert D. Brick, 54, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Emergency Room of Alliance Community Hospital from an apparent heart attack. Born on September 17, 1958 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Bob was a graduate of Alliance High School and had attended Stark State Technical College. An employee of Pro 1 of Alliance, Bob was the owner of Custom Chair and former co-owner of Alliance Bait & Bowling. In his past-time, he enjoyed coaching for the Hot Stove Leagues, American Legion Baseball and Traveling Team, and was an avid bowler and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia L. (Smith) Brick, whom he married on November 17, 1984; a son, Robert Brick, Jr. of Alliance; a daughter, Lydia Brick of Alliance; a sister, Nancy (Leone) Peloso of Columbus, OH; a nephew, Todd (Kristin) Peloso of Columbus; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Also surviving are two close and dear friends, Steve Ossler and Bruce Nordquist and his faithful dog, "Bubbles". Preceding him in death were his parents, Dale and Mary "Betty" (Barricks) Brick; and a nephew, Tony Peloso. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with his cousin, Pastor Jeff Knori officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
