Rick L. Bower's Obituary
Rick L. Bower, 38, of Dayton and formerly of Alliance, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born on June 28, 1972 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance most of his life. Rick was a 1992 graduate of West Branch High School and attended Wright State University. He was formerly employed at Grinders and Such in Alliance and was an apprentice meat cutter at Buckeye Village Market. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Ohio State fan and enjoyed watching most all sports including wrestling and nascar. Rick enjoyed communicating with his friends on facebook and spending time with them. He is survived by his parents, John H. Bower of Beloit; his mother, Cindy Caughman of Alliance; a brother, John David (Laura) Bower of Canfield; a niece, Lindsay Lee Bower; his grandmother, Loretta Lee of Sarasota, FL.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death was his grandparents, Howard and Berenice Bower and John D. Caughman. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Harris of the First Church of the Nazarene of Louisville officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
