Richard Keith "Rich" Wilton's Obituary
Richard Keith "Rich" Wilton, 77, of Alliance, died on Sunday, September 3, 2006, at 10:55 a.m. at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, following a courageous battle with cancer. Rich was born on October 23, 1928 in E. Liverpool, Ohio and was raised in Midland, PA. He has lived in Alliance since 1970. He attended Geneva College and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving the Military Police with the U.S. Army from 1951 - 1953. While living in Pennsylvania, Mr. Wilton was an elected Justice of the Peace. Mr. Wilton had been employed with Babcock & Wilcox in Beaver Falls, PA until 1970 when he relocated to Alliance s B&W Tubular Plant. He retired from Alliance Tubular Products in 1997 as a Design Engineer after 32 years of service. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed golfing, and photography. A beloved husband and father, he was very proud of his family. He leaves behind his wife, Shirley (Meek) Wilton, whom he married on August 22, 1953; two daughters, Cindy (Bruce) Bunn of Alliance and Susan (Michael) Favazzo of Alliance; four sons, Richard (Patricia) Wilton, Jr., of West Lake, Ohio, James Wilton of Alliance, Robert Wilton of Alliance and John (Leslie) Wilton of Lakewood, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, Bruce Bunn, Jr, Brian Bunn, Timothy Bunn, Tyler Bunn, Michelle Au, Christina Arters, Michael Favazzo, Victoria Favazzo, Richard K. Wilton, III, Stephen Wilton, Stephanie Wilton, David Wilton, and Rebecca Wilton; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Glenn of Philadelphia, PA.; three nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick G. and Iva (Cunningham) Wilton; and a brother, Frederick J. Wilton. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, September 7, 2006, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James Hipkins officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
