Richard L. "Dick" Warner's Obituary
Richard L. "Dick" Warner, 58, of Alliance, died at his home in the arms of his loved ones on October 13, 2004, at 3:30 pm. Born in Carrollton on August 10, 1946, he was a graduate of Carrollton High School and a 1968 Mount Union College graduate. He received his Masters from Youngstown State University. Dick attended Pine Lake Christian Church. Mr. Warner was a beloved former principal in the West Branch School district, a former teacher and coach at Carrollton High School, as well as a former guidance counselor at Salem High School. Dick was an outdoorsman and an avid sports fan. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dixie (Beamer) Warner (whom he married August 12, 1967); a daughter, Milli Elizabeth (Dean) Brown of Phillipsburg; two sons, Dack (Kellie) Warner and Dirk (Regina) Warner, all of Alliance; 10 grandchildren, Dakota, Jakob, Audra, Austin, Ali, Abi, Annie, Sophia, Augie, and Isabella; his mother-in-law, Mildred Beamer of Alliance; a sister, Susan (Richard) Shellock of Bolivar; a sister-in-law, Linda (Tom) Thompson of Alliance; five brothers, Larry (Marilyn) Warner of Carrollton, Bill (Lori) Warner of Louisville, Don (Robin) Warner of North Canton, Dennis (Donna) Warner of Canton, and Myron (Sarah) Warner of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Duff (Cathy) Beamer of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Audra (Shafer) Warner; and his father-in-law, Richard "Dick" Beamer. The family will receive friends at the Pine Lake Christian Church on Saturday from 10:00 - 12:00 noon. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon with Vernon Russell, Senior Minister of Pine Lake Christian Church and Rev. Rod Doran of the Westville Congregational Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Sherrodsville. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
