Richard J. "Dick" Rasile's Obituary
Richard J. "Dick" Rasile, 70, of Alliance, died on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:25 a.m. in the comfort of his own home. He was born on March 15, 1938 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance most of his life. Richard previously resided in Pittsburgh, PA from 1966 - 1977. A graduate of Alliance High School, he began his working career as a journeyman for Wybrecht Lumber Co. Later he was employed as a detail draftsman at A. J. Clemente in Sharpsburgh, PA. Upon returning to Alliance he was then employed by Schneider Lumber Co. in Canton and retired from Fagan s Building Center in Canton in architectural detailing. In his younger years, Richard was an avid bowler and received many trophies. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his pets. He is survived by his wife, Marlena M. (Abt) Rasile whom he married on February 5, 1966; two daughters, Maria (Dale) Sims of Alliance and Jacqueline Rasile of Alliance; a son, Rick Reed of Canton; three brothers, John (Jodene) Rasile of Alliance, Dennis (Linda) Rasile of Sebring and Gary (Cleo) Rasile of Homeworth; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Jennie (Marazza) Rasile. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, August 15, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
