Richard James Pollock's Obituary
Richard James Pollock, Sr., 62, of Beloit, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at 6:30 a.m. at his residence. Born in Alliance on June 14, 1942, Mr. Pollock lived in the Alliance area all of his life. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Richard served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and had been employed at the Ferro Corp. He is survived by two sons, Richard J. (Melissa) Pollock and Joe L. Pollock and his fianc e, Angel Fisher, all of Alliance; three grandchildren; eight sisters, Linda Russo and Lorie Vanetti, both of Alliance, Patty Withrow of Sebring, Vicky Bryant, Janet Emge, Anita Beadnell, Brenda Yoho, all of Alliance, and Karen Dennison of Randolph; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Pollock was preceded in death by his parents, George H. and Minnie (Powers) Pollock, Sr.; and a brother, George H. Pollock, Jr. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
