Richard D. Pilmer's Obituary
Richard D. Pilmer, 73, of Alliance, died on Friday, April 20, 2007, 9:25 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1934 in Columbiana County, Butler Twp., and lived in the Alliance area for most of his life. Mr. Pilmer retired from the Morgan Engineering Co., where he was employed as an Engine Operator. Richard loved boating and enjoyed building mini-bikes with his twin brother. He also enjoyed woodworking, especially making wooden spindles. He is survived by his twin brother, Robert E. (Charlene) Pilmer of Alliance; a brother, J. Fred (Ida) Pilmer of Alliance; sisters, Ruth (Richard) Smith of Sun City West, AZ, Florence Tuel and Mary Wernet, both of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Bert and Edna (Lisbon) Pilmer; a brother, Walter H. Pilmer; and a sister, Catherine Hartley. Private services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton, Ohio.
