Richard F. O'Dell's Obituary
Richard F. O'Dell, 75, of Alliance, died on Thursday, March 27, 2003, at 12: 15 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of Alliance, he was born on November 24, 1927, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. A US Army veteran of World War II, Mr. O'Dell retired from Tru-Cut, Inc. as a machine operator. He previously was a shipping foreman at the former Alliance Drop Forge for 28 years. Survivors include his wife Freda (Sayers) O'Dell whom he married on August 2, 1968; step-daughter and son-in-law, Royceann and Harley Nutter of Homeworth; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Barbara O'Dell of Alliance and son, Claude O'Dell of Alexander, VA; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clair D. O'Dell; his mother, Lucada (McAdoo) O'Dell; his step-mother, Gladys O'Dell; four sisters, Mariam Fawcett, Doris Yates, Ruth Roesti and Dorothy O'Dell; brothers, Clair O'Dell and Richard's twin, Robert. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, March 30, 2003, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 31, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Frank Gross, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount
