Richard P. "Dick" Lacher's Obituary
Richard P. "Dick" Lacher, 84, of Atwater, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at 7:15 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 18, 1918, he had been a resident of Alliance for all of his life. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He retired from Alliance Drop Forge in 1983 as a tool and die maker. He enjoyed boating and fishing. Survivors include his step son, Larry; caretakers; Maurice and Nancy Sylvester of Alliance; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death was his wife, Ruth (Linaburg) Lacher in 1984, (they were married in 1951); and his parents, Phillip and Cecilia (DeMuth) Lacher. Graveside services will be held at Highland Memorial Park Chapel on Monday, October 28, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
