Remo J. Painelli's Obituary
Remo J. Painelli, 72, of North Canton, died on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at 9:15 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on December 18, 1933 in Duvredo, Italy, he had lived in Alliance since 1943, moving to North Canton in 1998. Remo was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had retired from Alliance City Schools Custodial Department. He was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance and currently a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton. He is also a member of the Trentino Alpine Club of Alliance. Remo is survived by two sisters, Delma (Ray) Pucci of North Canton, and Mary (Bruce) Everson of North Canton; a brother-in-law, Dan Thomas of Alliance; nieces & nephews, Dani (Simon) Whiteley, Lisa Pucci, Ray (Cindy) Pucci, Joe (Renee) Pucci, Cheryl (John) Carroll, Steve (Debbie) Pucci, Julie (Tony) Lalli and Jessica (Jim) Grimes; several great-nieces & nephews; and many cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, Gioachino and Anna Noemi (Reversi) Painelli; a sister, Pasquina (Painelli) Thomas; a niece, Dena Thomas; and a nephew, Clay Everson. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, on Friday, November 17, 2006, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance, on Friday, November 17, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Alliance.
