Rella Ramsey's Obituary
Rella Mae (Myers) Ramsey, 91, of Alliance, passed away peacefully at home in Alliance on Friday, April 29, 2022 with her son at her side.
Born on September 23, 1930 in Alliance, to John D. and Sylvia (Shively) Myers, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
A 1949 graduate of Alliance High School, she also attended the Cleveland Bible College.
Rella was employed as a nurse at Alliance City Hospital and also helped at Virginia's Day Care Center.
Rella loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, arts and crafts and family genealogy.
Survivors include her son, Randall A. Ramsey of Alliance; granddaughter, Kristy (Ryan Milburn) Hawley; grandson, Dustin (Tori) Hawley; six great-grandchildren, Makenna Smith, Alexis Hawley, Alexander Hawley, Elilee Milburn, Kinsleigh Milburn and Tristan Milburn; a brother, John O. (Hilda) Myers; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, James "Pat" Ramsey, whom she married on September 17, 1965 and who died on July 5, 2008; her two daughters, Renea and Beth Ann; her parents; and four sisters, Thelma Smith, Grace Smith, Lillian Hicks and Wilda Royer.
Private funeral services will be held. Burial will immediately follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
