Rebecca S. Woodburn's Obituary
Rebecca S. Woodburn, 10, of Alliance, died on Thursday, October 27, 2011, as a result of a traffic accident on I-77 near Marietta, Ohio. Born on January 23, 2001 in Alliance, where she lived all of her life. Becca, known to family & friends as "Pig", was a 4th grade student at Rockhill Elementary School where she had been an academic, very active and participating student. If something was going on, she was there. She had been a cheerleader for the Little Aviators for the past 3 years and had played a munchkin in the Alliance High School s Wizard of Oz play. Most recently, Becca was cast as "Sneezy" in an upcoming production of Snow White in conjunction with the University of Mount Union. She had been on the gymnastics team at "Competitive Edge" for several years and she also took Ballet and Hip Hop dance lessons for many years. In her past-time, Becca enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling and mudding. "Little Pig" especially liked traveling and spending time with her many friends. She is survived by her parents (guardians), Howard "Jamie" Woodburn & Michelle Lynch of Alliance; her birth parents, Phillip Woodburn of Alliance & Amanda Woodburn of Cleveland; two half-sisters, Ashley Woodburn and Ellie Lashley, both of Alliance; brothers, Ronald Lynch of Alliance, Christopher & Brandon Woodburn of the home; half-brother, Tyler Sparks of Cleveland; grandfather, Howard L. Woodburn of Alliance; grandparents, Albert Bell of Cleveland and Janice Bell of Alliance; grandparents, Nancy & Frank Burkey of Marlboro; and several aunts, uncles & cousins. Preceding her in death was her grandmother, Dixie Woodburn. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
