Rebecca Kay Facchini's Obituary
Becky passed away November 8, 2023 at Bel Air Care Center surrounded by her family.
She was born July 18, 1938 to Annabelle and Edward J. Gongaware and lived in Alliance all her life.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Becky worked at Morgan Engineering, Alliance City Schools and Mount Union College, retiring in 2001.
She married James Facchini on January 11, 1964. She passed just 2 months shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Becky is survived by her husband, James Facchini; her children Kennedy Facchini of Homeworth, Wendy (Erik) Straub of Cuyahoga Falls and Christian (Laura) Facchini of Georgetown, TX: her granddaughters, Madison, Breelle and Lindsey all of Georgetown, TX; several nieces, nephews and a lot of cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Gongaware.
Becky loved cats, thunderstorms in the middle of the night, cheeseburgers, JFK, reading James Patterson books, decorating for Christmas, reality TV, casinos and Pancho's. Most of all she loved her family and friends, both old and new.
She fought a 27 year battle with Parkinson’s disease which she called "The Best of the Worst." Despite the difficulties, she never complained.
Her family would like to thank the staff and second floor caregivers of Bel Air Care Center for their compassionate care and support.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 pm, with Rev. G . David Weikart, officiating.
