Raymond N. "Bud" Ritchie's Obituary
Raymond N. "Bud" Ritchie, 80, of Copeland Oaks, died on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 4:50 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Deerfield on October 28, 1923, Ray lived in the Alliance area most of his life. Mr. Ritchie retired from the Alliance Machine Company and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of the V .F . W. in Sebring and the North Georgetown American Legion Post. He is survived by his wife, Doris F. (Lantz) Morris Ritchie (whom he married on August 1, 1987); a step-daughter, Judy (Bruce) Pabon of Ocean Springs, Miss; a step- son, Donald R. (Patricia) Morris of Damascus; a sister, Wilma Eyler of Alliance; two brothers, Ralph Jerry (Gladys) Ritchie of Alliance and Joseph Ritchie of Zephyrhills, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Chlo Era Ritchie on January 29, 1986; a step-son, Gerald Morris; and his parents, Raymond D. and Hazel (Sullavan) Ritchie; and two sisters, Dorothy Oluich and Betty Jean Leavitt. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery .
