Raymond Albert Mason's Obituary
Raymond Albert Mason, 85, of Alliance, died on Friday, March 29, 2002, at 12:16 a.m., at Aultman Hospital. Born in Salineville on February 14, 1917, he lived in the Alliance area all his life. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, he retired as a press operator from Transue & Williams Stamping Plant. A World War II veteran serving in the Air Force, he was a member of the North Georgetown American Legion and the Christopher Columbus Society. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife, Lena (Mazzaferro) Mason on May 22, 2000, whom he married on March 8, 1941; his parents, James and Amelia (Malinowska) Mason; and four brothers, James, John, Joseph and Edward Mason. Funeral services with military honors will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
