Raymond (Andy) Anderson's Obituary
Raymond (Andy) Anderson, 77, of Alliance, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 2:15 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. He was born on July 18, 1931 in Cuyahoga Falls, and lived in the Alliance vicinity most of his life. Raymond was a graduate of Atwater High School and went on to join the U. S. Air Force, and served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Anderson retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg, where he was employed as a machine operator. He enjoyed roller skating, antiques and auctions. Raymond is survived by two sisters, Joan (Lawrence) Culp of Sebring and Alice (Carl) Sheatzley of Canal Fulton; a niece, Pamela (William) MacDonald of Port Charlotte, FL; a nephew, Kevin Hunt of Akron; a great-nephew, Christopher McVicker of Port Charlotte, FL; and several cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lawrence and Geraldine (Lance) Anderson; and grandparents, Jessie Raymond Lance and Claralice Lance. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Atwater Cemetery.
