Ralph L. Reeder's Obituary
Ralph L. Reeder, 86, of Alliance, died on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at 9:45 p.m. at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. He was born in Alliance on April 14, 1920 and was a lifetime resident. Mr. Reeder was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church and was a graduate of Alliance High School. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U. S. Army in Europe as Battalion Motor Officer for the 272nd Field Artillery. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He retired as Director of Employee Relations for the Alliance Manufacturing Company on May 1, 1982, after 42 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. (Paul) Reeder, whom he married on April 25, 1943; a daughter, Linda E. (Ronald) Simpson of Gahanna, Ohio; a son, Paul D. Reeder of Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren, Ronda Dartt and Tari Simpson; a sister, Thelma Mowen of Bozeman, Montana; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest T. and Edna (Thomas) Reeder; and several aunts & uncles. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Palmer officiating. Interment will follow. There will be no calling hours.
