Ralph Aiello's Obituary
Ralph Aiello, 84, of 981 Parkside Dr., Alliance, died on Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Community Care Center. Born in Calabria, Italy on September 10, 1917, he had lived most of his life in the Alliance area, moving here in 1933. Mr. Aiello was a U. S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and was a member of the VFW Post 6730 and the DAV Chapter 50. A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, he was also a member of their Club 55. He was a retired partner of James Cleaners and Tailors, and was a past president of the Christopher Columbus Society. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Eutzly) Aiello of the home, whom he married on May 4, 1985; a sister-in-law, Gloria Aiello of Columbus; four nieces, Nancy Aiello, Angela Shiplett, Susan Aiello, Becky Aiello; and a grand-niece, Heather Shiplett, all of Columbus. Preceding him in death was his parents, Raymond and Angelina (Colosomi) Aiello; and two brothers, Jim and Steve Aiello. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Frank Gross, Jr. officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, July 10, 2002, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
