R. Wendell Brown's Obituary
R. Wendall Brown, 87, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 7:25 a.m. in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on September 5, 1928 in Marlboro, Ohio to Homer and Mabel (Reichard) Brown, he lived in Alliance for most of his life.
Roger attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance and was employed at Alliance Manufacturing Co. as a Setup Man, retiring in 1998 after 49 years of service. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
A well-known celebrity musician, he loved playing the piano, and performed in various locations around Ohio, Arizona and New York. In his spare time, he enjoyed racing cars & fishing.
Survivors include Irene (Sheely) Brown, whom he married on October 26, 1968; two daughters, Janice Ivan of Canton and Joyce of FL; a son, James of Louisiana and his three children; his granddaughter, Christina Ivan; a great-grandson, Jay; three great-granddaughters, Kailyn, Alexus and Loren; a great-great-granddaughter, Jordyn; a great-great-grandson, Nickolaus; two brothers, Richard (Betty) Brown of Alliance and Glenn (Ellen) Brown of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Joseph Wendell Brown; and a brother, Ronnie Brown.
Private funeral services will be held.
