Phyllis Weyer's Obituary
Phyllis Weyer, 93, of Alliance, died on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 4:35 a.m. at her home. She was born on April 12, 1916 in Wellsville, Ohio, and lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church. Mrs. Weyer raised three sons and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reconditioning toys to give to needy children during the Christmas season. She also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Swinging Sixties Bowling League and the Dante Club. She is survived by three sons, Charles "Tom" Weyer of Alliance, Richard Weyer of West Virginia, and Terry (Sharon) Weyer of Wadsworth; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond Weyer on May 19, 1996, whom she married on June 9, 1937; her parents, Thurman Chance and Goldie (Lehew) Chance Perry; one sister, Helen Dutrow; two brothers, Robert Chance and Kenneth Chance; and a grandson, Jeremy Weyer. At her request, there will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
