Phyllis Ruth Miller's Obituary
Phyllis Ruth (Sechler) Miller, 84, of Marlboro, went home to be with her Lord, on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 4:35 pm at Altercare of Hartville. Born on March 25, 1929 in Alliance, she had lived in the Alliance and Marlboro areas for all of her life. She was a graduate of Alliance High School and was a homemaker. Phyllis was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She had been a Kindergarten Sunday School Teacher for 23 years, a member of the choir, and a volunteer musical missionary to area nursing homes. She was also involved in many various church committees. She enjoyed going out to eat at Candle s Kitchen but especially loved spending time with her family. Phyllis is survived by her 2 daughters, Susan K. Everhart of Canal Fulton, OH, and Nancy J. (Norris) Hopson of Randolph, OH; a son, Jim (Bonnie) Miller of Marlboro, OH; 5 grandchildren, Chad (Tonya) Everhart, Scott Everhart, Justin Robertson, Amber Robertson and Jesse Miller; a great-granddaughter, Langstyn Everhart; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Wayne Miller, on November 12, 1998, whom she married on March 1, 1952; her parents Jacob Henry and Agnes C. (Morrow) Sechler; two sons-in-law, Dave Robertson and Terry Everhart; a sister, June Saus; and a brother, Jacob Sechler Jr. Private funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Corbett, officiating. Interment will follow at Marlboro Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
