Phyllis Jean Englehart's Obituary
Jean Englehart, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. She was born on January 25, 1936, in Richwood, West Virginia to Charles and Randy Newsom. She lived in Randolph and Alliance for most of her life.
Jean was employed at Waterloo Local School District as a cook for several years. When she was able, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her friends and family. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Cleveland teams. However most important was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Randall (Jeri) Englehart of Ravenna, OH; a daughter, Debbie (Duane) Davis-Byrd of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; a sister, Bobbie (Jack) Shushok of Atwater, OH. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer (Allen) Moff, Eric (Anna) Englehart, Amanda (Josh) Phipps, Caleb (Sherri) Davis, a granddaughter in law, Siobhan Davis; ten great-grandchildren, Alex, Kyle, Ada, Isaac, Cooper, Delilah, Blake, Winnie, Liam, and Noah; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Paul "Bud" Englehart; a grandson, Josh Davis; five sisters, Marguerite Coe, Beatrice McCoy, Mary Ann Baker, Anna Bell Newsom and Agnes Kathleen Kee; and four brothers, Robert Newsom, Francis Newsom, Burton Newsom, and Leon Newsom.
A private family service will take place.
