Peter L. Sacconi's Obituary
Peter L. Sacconi, 85, of Limaville, died on Monday, August 8, 2005, at 7:15 p.m., at McCrea Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Alliance on August 10, 1919 and had been a resident of Alliance for most of his life. He had also been a resident of Kissimmee, Florida for almost 20 years. Mr. Sacconi was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and had received the Purple Heart. He had retired from the Alliance Post Office as a carrier and was a former member of the Christopher Columbus Society. He is survived by a son, Dennis (Connie) Sacconi of Deltona, FL; a daughter, Mary Jo Davies of Limaville; six grandchildren, Marc Sacconi, Traci (John) Kohl, Alysia Sacconi, Brooke Davies, Tina (Ted) Nemetz, and Gary (Judy) Gang; eight great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ashley, Ryan, Nate, Britney, Matthew and Hannah; a sister, Mena McGrew of Beloit; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Elliott) Sacconi in 1993; his parents, Sam and Angela (Dolfi) Sacconi; a sister, Anita Sanford; and two brothers, Tony Sacconi and Bill Sacconi. A Memorial service will be held at the First Friends Church on Saturday, August 13, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Rick Sams, officiating. Military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036 will conclude the service. There are no calling hours. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
