Perena Ann Herron's Obituary
Perena Ann Herron, 83, formerly of Wilcox Street, Alliance, died on Saturday, January 19, 2002, at 6:22 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital Emergency Room. Born in Alliance, on July 3, 1918, she had lived all her life in Alliance and was currently residing at McCrea Manor. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their Women's Guild, she was also a member of the Trentino (Tyrol) Club, the former Ladies of the Christopher and the former Ladies of the Dante Alighieri Society. Survivors include her two daughters and son-in-laws, Tamara Lynn and Wayne Whaley of Homeworth, and Marsha Ann and Tom Wehner of Alliance; four grandchildren, Andrea, Amanda, Jenna and Kelly; a brother, James P. Giovanelli of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Josephine A. (Rosa) Giovanelli; and two sisters, Minnie Miculan and Irene Lucy Giovanelli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 22, 2002, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
