Pauline A. (Samay) Rach's Obituary
Pauline A. (Samay) Rach, 83, of Alliance, died on Saturday, February 25, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Pauline was born in Akron, Ohio, on July 9, 1922 and lived most of her life in the Atwater area. Mrs. Rach was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance. She and her husband, Alexander, were the former co-owners of Parkview Restaurant at the Deerfield Circle from 1947-1953 and also were the former co-owners of Skylark Restaurant in Canfield from 1954-1974. She is survived by a sister, Eleanor Stroup of Ravenna; two brothers, George Samay of Alliance and Joseph Thomas Samay of Ashtabula; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Rach on October 12, 1997 (they were married on November 29, 1941); her parents, John and Catherine (Cubon) Samay; and a brother, John Samay. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
