Polly and I became friends in 2012 when we both started working at a new job as Nurse Practitioners. We talked daily, helping each other with intricacies and maneuvering our way through the organization. Our relationship quickly turned into more than co-workers. It wasn't long before we realized we had tons of common interests and were sharing info about our families, activities, goals and dreams. Polly absolutely loved her immediate family, siblings, and parents. She spoke very highly of all her children and her loving husband, Jim, and she reveled in each new event that happened in her family's lives. Polly was the best type of friend. Her love of life, enjoyment in the little things and her down to earth attitude were loved by all. She cared and loved deeply for all the people in her life, including her friends, patients, coworkers, and acquaintances. She had a heart of gold and a soul that sparkled daily. There is no way to acknowledge all the good she has done throughout her life as this was just part of her daily actions and behaviors. It would be safe to say that Polly has positively touched thousands of lives throughout her short walk on this earth. Not only did she positively touch those lives but she was one that worked diligently to give quality and kindness in every aspect of her interactions. Her qualities were seen not only with her actions but within the twinkle of her eyes, the beautiful smile and her contagious giggle or laughter. To say that so many will miss her is a severe understatement and is better described as being truly heartbroken. I am so very blessed to have had Polly in my life for she contributed to making me a better person in so many ways. She will continue to live in my heart and memories. May she soar with the best of the best angels all the while watching over each and every one of us.
