Pauline N. Maldoven's Obituary
Pauline N. Maldoven, age 99 1/2, of Alliance, passed away at Alliance Community Hospital on Thursday, at 11:30 p.m. on October 4, 2007. Born on April 7, 1908, in Maximo, OH to Levi and Eva (Weimer) Krabill, Pauline lived her entire life in the Alliance area. Her husband of 65 years, James E. Maldoven, passed away on January 22, 1992. Pauline worked at the French Saxon Pottery and The Royal China Pottery in Sebring for 25 years. She was of the Lutheran faith. Pauline, and her husband James, built their home on Homeworth Road themselves, after clearing the lot, and resided there most of their married life, hosting frequent family gatherings. Their belief in honesty and integrity was taught and demonstrated to everyone in the family by all they said and did. She is survived by daughters Virginia Lenz and Jean Hannah both of Alliance, son-in-law Robert Hannah of Alliance, grandchildren James (Cynthia) Hannah of Mogadore, Carol (Jack) King of Uniontown, Bruce (Lillian) Lenz of Canton, and Brian (Luann) Lenz of Raleigh, NC, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Pauline is also survived by a sister, Miriam Swearingen of Cuyahoga Falls, and two sister-in-laws, Emma Maldoven of Beloit and Mary Lair of Alliance, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Robert A. Lenz, brothers Donald, Mervin, Olan, Wayne, Randall and Wendall Krabill, sisters Evelyn Brady and Bernice Krabill. The family would like to thank the staff of the Bel-Air Care Center and Alliance Visiting Nurse Hospice for the kind and loving care she received from them. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2007 from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. James K. McCurdy of the First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
