Pauletta J. (Smith) Montgomery's Obituary
In loving memory of Pauletta J. (Smith) Montgomery, 61, of Salem who passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2005 suddenly at her home. She was born on June 11, 1944 to the late Paul W. Smith and Martha R. Votaw. She lived in the Alliance/Salem area all her life. She was previously employed at Sherwood Manufacturing, Basic Items, Protective Apparel and Westville Country Restaurant. She also attended Marlington High School and was a member of Women s International Bowling Congress. Pauletta is survived by her husband, James "Dallas" Montgomery, whom she married August 26, 1961; her two children, Mrs. Steve (Diana) Phillis of Damascus and Dallas Scott (Teresa M.) Montgomery of the home; nine grandchildren, James "Michael" (Nichole) Phillis, Matthew Roesti, Adam Phillis, Alexis L, Miranda R., and Andrew Montgomery, Joel Jr., Mandi Joy, and Benjamin Jennings; two great-grandchildren, Jacob M. and Makayla L. Phillis; a brother, James R. (Brenda) Smith of Dunedin, Florida; and two sisters, Don (Judy Smith) Pittman of Salem and John (Jodene Smith) Rasile of Alliance. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha R. Braidic on December 23, 2004; her step-father, George M. Braidic on July 12, 2000; and her step-father, Donald E. Soles in 1970. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23, 2005 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Albright of the Damascus Friends Church and Pastor Larry Paxson of the Faith Chapel Fellowship in Salem co-officiating. Internment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
