Paula S. Haines' Obituary
Paula Sue (Hurford) Haines, 75, of Alliance, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home in Alliance.
Born on September 4, 1946 in Alliance, to William and Frances (Middleton) Hurford, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
A 1964 graduate of Alliance High School, Paula was a member of the former Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.
Paula was employed at Timken Mercy Hospital as a Registrar where she retired after 25 years of service. She was also previously employed at Alliance City Hospital as a Pediatric Nurses Aid for over ten years.
She enjoyed lunches with the Mercy Girl Lunch Club, but she especially loved crafting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Haines, whom she married on September 10, 1965; two daughters, Heidi (Josh) Everitt and Kim (Rich) Carlton; her son, Greg (Robyn) Haines; nine grandchildren, Justin Everitt, Lindsey Meadows, Michael (Danielle) Everitt, Kristen (Cody) Kaser, Nichole (Chase) Good, Emily (Colton) Blake, Hanna Carlton, Alec Haines and Kylee Haines; four great-grandchildren, Aubree Byall, Bruce Good, CJ Kaser and Adalynn Everitt; two sisters, Linda (Joe) Difloure and Lisa (Rich) Farr; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her father, William Hurford; and her mother, Frances Hurford-Connerth.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Steve Lowe, of Damascus Friends Church, officiating.
