Paul "Tom" Taylor's Obituary
Paul "Tom" Taylor, 59, of Alliance, died on Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Alliance on October 31, 1945, Tom lived in the Sebring and Alliance areas all of his life. A graduate of Sebring McKinley High School, he was a member of the Pine Lake Christian Church in Sebring. A U.S. Army veteran, Tom was a skilled carpenter with the maintenance department of Alliance City Schools. He was known for his love of life and his great sense of humor. He was a beach lover and vacationed with his family every year in Myrtle Beach. Tom was a carpenter by trade and could build anything. He leaves five beautiful homes, all designed by him and his wife, Karen, and built by his own two hands with the help of family and friends. He was a loving husband, having married his high school sweetheart, Karen S. (Wiggers) Taylor on August 24, 1968, an amazing father and a beloved grandfather to his two granddaughters. Survived by his wife, Karen; a daughter, Meghan L. (Robert) Basile; a son, Clay Taylor; two young granddaughters, Payton and Alexis; his brother, William (Kathy) Taylor of Buena Park, CA; sister, Linda (George) Binius of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lyndsay; and his parents, William P. and Mary J. (Fetterhoff) Taylor. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Private funeral services will follow with the Rev. Rebecca Innerst officiating.
