Paul R. DelPuppo's Obituary
Paul R. DelPuppo, 77, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at his home.
He was born on February 6, 1938 in Rodale, West Virginia to Orelio and Clara (Veneri) DelPuppo. He lived in Alliance for most of his life and graduated from Alliance High School in 1957.
Paul was member of Beechwood United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee.
Paul retired in 2000 from American Steel Foundry as a Machinist.
He was a Washington Township Trustee since 2001. He was involved in Scouting for many years and was a member of the Friends of Beechwood Park. Paul was also a member of the Alliance Democratic Club and a member of the Washington Ruritan Club.
Paul was the co-founder of North American 40+ Touring Riders and had served as the Ohio and International Director and Treasurer. He was also involved with the Gold Wing Road Riders Assn., a life member of the American Motorcycle Assn. and the Patriot Guard.
Survivors include his loving wife Ann of 26 years; children, Christine (Tony) Clements of Brookville, Paula Bezon of Alliance, Meri (Jim) Wilton of Alliance, James (Denise) DelPuppo of Mogadore, Tami (Joe) Betro of Canton, and Tim (Ninette) Alters of North Canton; ten grandchildren, Stefanie Merriman, Joe (Gina) Gallina, Dion (Bregan) Bezon, Nick DelPuppo, Jacob DelPuppo, Celeste Alters, Alyssa Betro, Mitch Alters, Laura Betro, and Brandon Betro; and three great-grandchildren, Anna Merriman, Emily Gallina and Javier Hess.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Herman, Louis, and Lewis; and great-granddaughter, Kelsey Bezon.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at Beechwood United Methodist Church, with Pastor Bob Miller, officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
