Paul J. Clair's Obituary
Paul Joseph Clair, 82, of Alliance, passed on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at Aultman Hospital. He was born on April 13, 1930 in Alliance and lived in Alliance most of his life. He previously resided in Canton for about 25 years. He was a graduate of Alliance High School and received Lithographer training in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was the owner of the former Apex Printing Company in Canton, which he operated for many years. In his past-time, he enjoyed photography, graphic arts and computer related activities. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Baxter) Clair whom he married on November 27, 1952; two daughters, Deborah Michel of Carrollton, and Paula Sojka of Canton; three sons, Jeffery (Brenda) Clair of Canal Fulton, Randall (Fay) Clair of Magadore and Gregory Clair of Canton; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ramona Baxter of Alliance; brother-in-laws, Donald Baxter of Alliance and John Michael of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joe and Nellie (Hennacy) Clair. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday August 25, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday August 25, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
