Patty Jean Miller's Obituary
Patty Jean Miller, 66, formerly of Alliance, died Monday, September 30, 2002 at 8:55 a.m. at Rose Lane Health Center in Massillon. Born in Canton on March 22, 1936, she had been a resident of Alliance for over 40 years. She was the former co-owner and secretary/receptionist of H. Cowboy Miller Septic Service from 1964 to 1994. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Louisville Chapter #400 and the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Kadesh Court #19 of Akron. Survivors include two daughters, Denise L. DeJane of San Diego, CA, and Catherine A. Katie Lacy of Westerville; a foster daughter, Roberta L. Muff Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC; 5 grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Lou (Ronald) Lash of Canton, Mary Ann Dolak of Canton, Debra (Mark) Shaw of Dellroy; one brother, James R. (Mina Jane) Groetz of Louisville; a sister-in-law, Nancy Rickenbrode of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were her husband, Harold E. Cowboy Miller on October 25, 1997 (whom she married on July 10, 1959); her parents, Howard J. and Viola H. (Stover) Groetz; and a brother, William H. Groetz. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park on Thursday, October 3, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Sara Hodsden officiating. There are no calling hours. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
