Patricia C. Maldoven's Obituary
Patricia Cecelia Coad Maldoven passed away suddenly on May 19,2012. She was born to parents, Joseph Blandford Coad and Mildred Rawlings Carroll Coad on June 9, 1939 in Washington, DC. She will be missed by many for her warm heart and spirit. She is survived by children, Patricia Maldoven Lidd of Stafford, VA, Michael Dean Maldoven of Appomatox, VA and Robert James Maldoven of Atlee, VA and daughter-in-law, Carol Maldoven. She had 5 wonderful grandchildren, Jared Lidd, Shaina Lidd, Kaija Lidd, Holden Maldoven and Garrett Maldoven. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Jerry Lee Maldoven, his wife Pat Maldoven, and sister-in-law, Ruth Maldoven. She also had a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to raising her three children, she worked at Georgetown Law Library, the Northern Virginia Sun newspaper and the traffic division of Arlington County Police. She and husband Robert Dean Maldoven retired to the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Woodville, VA. She was active in the community, her church and with her friends. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. She will be buried afterward at Fairmount Memorial Park beside her beloved late husband, Robert Dean Maldoven.
