Patricia Bridges, Ph.D.'s Obituary
Patricia Bridges, Ph.D., 51, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at her home in Eugene, Oregon. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 20, 1952, she was a resident of Alliance for eight years and then lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before moving to Oregon. A Phi Kappa Phi, Dr. Bridges had previously been a professor at Mt. Union College, Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA, and Grand Valley State University William James College. Patty is survived by her son, Aaron Bridges of Eugene, Oregon; two grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Quick and Sharon Blackwell, both of St. Louis, Missouri; and several loving friends and companions. She was preceded in death by her son, Ian Bridges on January 1, 1996; her parents, Ernest and Edna (Cleary) Morton; and two infant brothers. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, November 10, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Private Services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2003. Burial will follow at Mount Union Cemetery in Alliance.
