Pat Tangi 's Obituary
Patricia “Pat” (Meiner) Tangi, 88, of Alliance, died on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at The Haven home care facility, after a long fought battle with Alzheimer's.
Born on July 8, 1929 in Pasadena, CA to Oscar and Kathryn (McClowry) Meiner, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
Pat was a graduate of Mount Marie High School in Canton, Ohio. She was partner / owner of The Sewing Circle fabric store in Alliance.
She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, St Joseph Altar and Rosary Society, the Alliance Women's Club, the Alliance Garden Club, and the Alliance Country Club women's golf.
Pat enjoyed golf, skiing, travel, sewing, bowling, playing cards, and going out to dinner with her friends on Mondays and Tuesdays; but mostly spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Judge Michael A. Tangi, whom she married on September 10, 1955 in Canton, Oh; her children, Thomas (Pam) Tangi of Jacksonville, FL and Tami (Steve) Iselin of Burke, VA; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Iselin, Maureen Iselin, Cory Iselin, Hannah (Martin) Tangi Elliot, Addison Tangi, and Cara Iselin; 2 great-grandchildren, Becca and Grant; a sister, Mary Lee (Dick) Weigand of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents.
She will be missed by family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to all of her caregivers at The Haven in Beloit, especially Sheila our angel on earth.
Honoring Pat’s wishes, she was cremated and will be kept until she can be laid to rest with her husband.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held.
