Olga R. Ganni's Obituary
Olga R. Ganni, 85, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 3:39 a.m. at Aultman Hospital. She was born on January 13, 1923 in Sun, WV, and lived in Alliance most of her life. A graduate of Lisbon High School, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Olga was a private duty Nurse s Aid. She was the most loving mother that God ever put on earth. She had a passion for travel and loved trying new foods and recipes. Her gift for making the most beautiful gardens flourish even during winter was unmatched by any other. Every cat, dog, rabbit, squirrel and any other animal could find safe haven for the rest of their lives with Mom. As the family Matriarch, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren unconditionally. Her gentle manners and wisdom guided us through many difficult times. We all are going to miss you so much Mom. Mrs. Ganni is survived by two daughters, Linda (Mac) McLaughlin of Middlebranch and Dolly (Justin) Hickman of Bridgewater, VA; six sons, Tony (Sherry) Ganni of St. Louis, MO, Carmen "Cookie" (Britta) Ganni of Miami, FL, Perry (Rita) Ganni of Akron, OH, Victor (Mary) of Alliance, Dana Ganni of Massillon and Steve (Ganni) Wood of Columbus; twenty grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Carmen B. Ganni on July 31, 1992, whom she married on June 26, 1948, they were married for 35 years; her parents, John Raboczkai and Anna Rose (Sczasi) Raboczkai Toth; two sisters; and four brothers. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
