Norman W. Lewis, Sr.'s Obituary
Norman W. Lewis, Sr., 77, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, September 08, 2004 at 10:40 a.m. at his residence. A lifelong resident of Alliance, he was born on August 5, 1927, and he attended the Alliance Baptist Temple. Mr. Lewis retired from Elco Tool & Die in 1989 after 9 years of service as a press operator. He is survived by a daughter, Roxann (Ronald) Hull of Alliance; a son, Norman (Valerie) Lewis of Alliance; four grandchildren, Randy Bugara, Melissa Lewis, Ronnie Hull, and Kerissa Lewis; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Matilda Roose, Marjorie Powers, and Myrtle Greenawalt; two brothers, Eugene (Betty) Lewis and Richard Lewis; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie (McCartel) Lewis on March 3, 1996; his parents, Morgan and Eldessa (Cameron) Lewis; a grandson, Andy Bugara in 1995; three sisters, Mildred Lewis, Lavella Angeli, and Marget Lewis; and three brothers, Earl Lewis, Morgan Lewis, Jr., and Vernon Lewis. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
