Norma Jean Specht's Obituary
Norma Jean Specht, 77, of Alliance, died on Monday, December 08, 2008 at 6:45 a.m. at her residence. She was born on October 25, 1931 in East Canton and graduated from Louisville High School in 1949. She lived in the Alliance area all of her life. Norma retired from Grief Brothers Box Factory as an assembler and had previously worked for Alliance Manufacturing. In her past-time, she enjoyed playing bingo and watching Hot Stove baseball. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Louis D. Specht; a daughter, Cheryl Carl (Mike Kerns) of Alliance; a grandson, Justin Carl; three granddaughters, Michele, Heidi and Lindsey; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne (Gerald) Chappell of Alliance and Ada Greenawalt of Homeworth; a brother, William (Donna) Carl of Louisville; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, William E. and Edna (Unkefer) Carl; five sisters, Florence Sukosd, Thelma Klotz, Pauline Wilson, Violet McCauley and Virginia Fryfogle; and a brother, Stewart Carl. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph A. Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
