Nikki S. Abt's Obituary
Nikki Sue (White) Abt, 65, of Alliance, died on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 7:54 a.m. at her home. She was born on April 25, 1944 in Johnson City, TN, and lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a graduate of Alliance High School, her first job was at the former Beverly Farms Dairy. She was then employed at Orwig Pontiac for 16 years and retired from Henschen Motors after 4 years. She was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses, East Congregation. As one of Jehovah s Witnesses, she treasured the door to door ministry and bible studies. She enjoyed gardening and her very obedient cats, Abby and Cassie. She also loved reading and being with her many friends. She will be very much missed by all who so loved her. She is survived by her husband, Wildye C. "Bill" Abt whom she married on November 27, 1963; two sisters, Vickie Lee Bowman of Johnson City, TN and Rickie (Steve) Carter of Jonesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, A. R. Cecil, Jr. and Grace Bell (Lockner) White. A Memorial Service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses, West Congregation on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with Matthew Lemmon, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment is at Fairmount Memorial Park.
