Milreda M. (Burger) Huffman's Obituary
Milreda M. (Burger) Huffman, 75, of Alliance, died on Saturday, June 05, 2004 at her home. Born in Alliance on November 19, 1928, she attended Alliance High School and had lived in the Alliance area all of her life. Mrs. Huffman was a member of the Vine Street United Methodist Church and was active with the Crusaders Class and Ray Ann Circle. She was also a member of the Women's Society at the Lexington United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Julian B. Huffman, whom she married on August 3, 1947; a daughter and son-in-law Judith A. and James Eckenwi1er of Alliance; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph D. and Diane Huffman of Alliance; 6 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 8 great-grandchi1dren; two step great-granddaughters; a sister, Marilyn J. Williams of Massillon; two step-sisters, Barbara Thomas of Worthington and Beverly Miller; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles D. and Clarice P. (Cracknell) Burger; her step-mother, Arline Burger; and four brothers, Charles J., La Verne C., Daniel G. and William G. Burger. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and also at the Vine Street United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Wolfe, officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
