Mildred Anita (Stewart) Strom's Obituary
Mildred Anita (Stewart) Strom, 85, of Alliance, died on Sunday, July 16, 2006, at 9:10 p.m. at Aultman Hospital. Mildred was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on August 23, 1920, and graduated from Westinghouse High School. She lived in Alliance most of her life before moving to St. Luke Lutheran Community in North Canton. Mrs. Strom was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Brown Bag Ladies Craft Club of Sebring Methodist Church and was an avid quilter and enjoyed many different crafts. She loved to play bingo. Mildred is survived by a daughter, Sandra Streblo (Dan) Warder of North Canton; a son, K. Wayne (Janis) Strom of Naperville, IL; four grandchildren, Rick (Sabine) Strom, Sherri (Rick) Malloy, Bob (Anne) Strom, and Cindi Streblo; two step-grandchildren; Amy (Tom) Spreainde, and Jennifer Warder; six great-grandchildren, Katie, Madison, and Andrew Malloy, Scott Strom, Cheyenne Spreainde, and Jocelynn Mohler; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Strom on July 13, 1989 (they were married on June 27, 1941); and her parents, Joseph Carl and Zoe Eva (Hainley) Stewart. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 20, 2006, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. David Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
