Mildred A. Frank's Obituary
Mildred A. Frank, 88, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. Born in Richmond, Iowa, on April 10, 1917, she had lived in the Alliance/Salem area most of her life. Mrs. Frank was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg and the Altar and Rosary Society. Mildred enjoyed quilting for the parish festivals. She retired from Marlington High School where she had been employed as a cook. She is survived by two sons, James (Joan) Frank of North Canton and Ron (Ann) Frank of North Canton; four grandchildren, Christine, David, Denise and Jennifer; and many nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Frank on May 29, 2005, (they were married on June 28, 1944); an infant daughter, Rosemary; a son, Raymond; her parents, Frank and Alice (Schnoebelen) Strabala; two sisters, Cecelia McCarthy and Ruth Fink; and three brothers, Robert, William and Elmer Strabala. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2005, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg on Saturday, September 17, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. James McKarns as celebrant. Internment will follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
