Mike Choma's Obituary
Mike Choma, 91, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at 4:15 a.m. at Community Care Center. Born on October 17, 1919 in Alliance, he lived in the Alliance and Sebring areas all of his life, graduating from Sebring High School in 1945. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. A U. S. Army veteran of WWII, he was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1036 and the American Legion Post 166. Mike retired from the Morgan Engineering Company in 1982, where he was employed as a Receiving Clerk for 29 years. He was a member of the Alliance Senior Center where he enjoyed traveling on their trips. Mike also enjoyed bowling and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Pauline (Kovach) Choma whom he married on November 19, 1966; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Rachel (Toth) Choma; two sisters, Judy Choma and Mary (Choma) Siegenthaler and three brothers, Joe, Al and Bill Choma. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Entombment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
