Michael Stanley's Obituary
Michael Stanley, 36, of Atwater, died on Friday, December 29, 2006, at his home. Michael was born on January 8, 1970 in Alliance and lived in the Alliance and Atwater areas for all of his life. He attended Waterloo High School and was a graduate of Maplewood Career Center. Michael was currently employed at PTC Alliance. He enjoyed hunting and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of the HOGG Association. He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Johnson) Stanley, whom he married on September 28, 2006; one step-daughter, Bri Andrus of the home; two step-sons, Christian Forsythe of the home and Andrew Forsythe of Naples, Florida; his father and step-mother, David & Pat Stanley of Atwater; his mother, Janice Stanley of Tampa, Florida; his grandmother, Barbara Stanley of Alliance; a brother, David Stanley and his companion Scott Klingmann of Tampa Florida; a brother, Christopher Stanley of Alliance; his best friend, Scott Gobley; many aunts & uncles; and his Harley friends. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer and Blanche Lashley; and his grandfather, Robert Stanley. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6, 2007 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Rosenberger of the Fairhaven Baptist Church in Atwater, officiating. Be safe on that last Harley Ride to heaven and go knowing that we all love you and will miss you terribly. We will never forget you.
