Michael Buzogany's Obituary
Michael Buzogany died at 11:50 p.m. on June 23, 2003, at McCrea Manor where he resided for four years. Mike was born in Transylvania on May 18, 1905. He and his late wife, Irene Fodor Buzogany were married on June 29, 1929 and moved to Alliance. A member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Mike and Irene were co-owners of Mike's Warehouse for 41 years and he later worked for the former Weizenecker's. He was a board member for 42 years of the William Penn Club, and in 1937, received a citation and a free trip to Hungary from the William Penn home office. Mike was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. Survivors include a daughter, Ethel (John) Francis; sons, Dr. William (Phyllis) Buzogany, Robert (Sue) Buzogany, Barry (Marilyn) Buzogany, and Bruce (Beth) Buzogany; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; several brothers; and a daughter, Mary Irene Buzogany. A memorial service will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. William Francis officiating. There will be no calling hours. Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
