Melvin "Red" Kirk's Obituary
Melvin "Red" Kirk, 71, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Columbus, Ohio on October 3, 1932, he had lived in the Alliance area for most of his life. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he had been employed with Western Electric Co. as a lineman for 33 years. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He has two daughters, Cindy and Kelly and was prededed in death by his father, Gerald O. Kirk; and his wife, Nancy Carol (Stratton) Kirk. Private services will be held. There are no calling hours. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
